A practical class on an latter half 15th century Burgundian manuscript style, creating luxorious black manuscripts. Participants can try creating small illuminations in this style as well as receive tips & tricks. We will test this on a black watercolour paper with gouache and metallic watercolours. Materials provided by the teacher, but everyone is welcome to bring their own if they have: paper: thick, smooth black 300+ gsm watercolour or mixed media paper (Royal Talens for instance), gouache or metallic watercolours (Finetec is good), pastels (white or light gray), pencils, rulers, brushes etc.
What should I bring?
You don’t need to bring anything, materials are provided.
Who is the host?
I am Baroness Maerith aff Weselax, enthusiastic amateur bookbinder and scribe in the society since 2008. I reside in Aarnimetsä (Hukka canton) and attempt to travel annually to events in Drachenwald.
