Presentation of Duke Timothy

I am Duke Timothy of Arindale, KSCA, OP
I authorized in 1983, was knighted in Atlantia in 1990, and won the first of my 8 Crown Tournaments in CAID in 1992. I won two in the East (1992 and 1995), as well as 5 more in Aethelmearc, the most recent two having been fought exclusively with Buckler.
Classes with Duke Timothy
All five classes that our guest teacher is offering are 1 hour each and have one scheduled spot in the Main schedule. Then there are five scheduled slots that are only marked as “Class ?”. They are there to be decided on at the site.
There will be a list for each class in the Troll tent so you can sign up. If you are interested in a class and the list is full… Please sign up anyway and keep an eye on the schedule for which of the unnamed slots gets filled with the class you would like to attend. And also, if one of the eight who signed up doesn´t show up, the reserves on the signing list will be offered the spot. So show up in time to secure your spot.
Buckler and Sword
Buckler and Sword is not the same thing as Sword and Shield. You need two completely different approaches. This course will explain how to adjust your approach to Buckler combat.
1 hour and a maximum of 8 participants.
Ten little things
Ten little things you can do to improve your style: Most fighters already know the basics. There are several small things they can do to improve what they already know.

Shots beyond the basic
Most fighters don’t learn too many shots past the flat snap, the offside and maybe a wraparound. There are many different shots that use totally different body mechanics. This class covers them.
1 hour and a maximum of 8 participants.
Movement concepts
Heavy fighting is not done on a strip like Olympic fencing. It is done in the round, and most fighters don’t seem to understand this.
1 hour and a maximum of 8 participants.
Polearm infighting concepts
Take the thrusting tip off of your pole arm. You might enjoy it more, and you will definitely improve your game.
