SCA Archery activities are open to participants of all ages. SCA archers use materials and methods available to period archers. This includes a focus on natural materials such as wood and feathers in our bows and arrows. Archers use recurve bows, crossbows, and longbows. Children can participate if they can safely draw and shoot a bow and show that they will listen to the marshal (shooter). However, children under the age of 12 must have a designated adult supervisor within arm’s length.
